Circular route symbol: Samer Berg-Rundtour Refreshment stop: Klobenstein inn, Bäcker-Alm (*), Streichen mountain inn (currently closed) (*) typical alpine snacks during the alpine pasture season. Achental hiking pin Checkpoints: Smugglers’ path, Samer-Rast, Streichen mountain inn, Achberg Special features: Raised rocks and bottlenecks at the suspension bridge, Klobenstein pilgrimage church, Streichen church Description: From the Geigelstein car park in Ettenhausen, follow a wide forest path in the direction of Klobenstein, past the Ruderburger See (detour). From the former border, a path leads uphill and downhill again to the Klobenstein junction and to the suspension bridge over the Tiroler Ache, to the Klobenstein inn and pilgrimage church. Both are worth a visit. Continue to the main road above, then continue to the right in the direction of Kössen, until after 200m there is a steep road on the left that leads in the direction of Streichen (Samerweg). At the upper end, a path leads to the left past the “Samerrast” (beautiful view of the Geigelstein) in the direction of Streichen. When the forest road becomes horizontal, a path branches off to the left in the direction of the Bäcker-Alm. This detour of 20 minutes is ideal for a small snack on the alp. From there it goes directly to the Streichen church. Otherwise always follow the forest road. The Steichenkirche and the Streichen mountain inn are worth the effort. The way back leads first in the direction of Chiemhauser-Alm to the Haider-Alm and then in the direction of Streichenparkplatz 1 and Wagrain over the Achenbrücke to the Geigelstein car park in Ettenhausen.
