Description
Knowledge and fun, relaxation and panoramic views – the new mountain forest adventure trail in StaffenThe panoramic hike of approx. 4.25 km in length begins at the mountain station of the Hochplattenbahn, for which a walking time of approx. 1 ½ hours should be planned. Passing the Staffn-Alm we walk across meadows and then climb up to the “Stafsten mountain forest adventure trail”. Around 20 stations invite you to play and explore, to relax and enjoy. One of the stations is the large silhouette wall, into which you can “fit in”, another is the hang-glider swing at the mountain station. Hanging chairs, massage trees and balance loungers invite you to relax. Telescopes, playhouses, vantage points and information boards on alpine farming, forest management, avalanche control, geology and protective forest functions attract inquisitive and active people. In the buzzing stone we can do an interesting experiment and experience the neighboring Kampenwand and Gederer Wand up close from the viewing platform. In between there are also fantastic views of the Achental and the Chiemsee. Arriving at the end of the circular route, this tour envisages turning left in the direction of the Hefter-Alm and thus getting back to the beginning of the circular route, but we can also hike to the right in the direction of the Hochplattenbahn mountain station and, following the signs, arrive back at the beginning of the hike .Refreshment stop: Staffn Alm In winter, the path is prepared for winter hikers with a slightly different route if the snow conditions are suitable.
