The Achental, a great cycling region, is part of the extensive 1,400 km cycle path network in Chiemgau, certified by the ADFC (German Cycling Club). Between Lake Chiemsee and the mountains, hobby cyclists will be able to enjoy the flat, extensive and varied routes leading through stunning nature in the valley. A relaxing way to discover the Achental is on an e-bike. Would you like to try one? Then why not rent an e-bike from one of the bike shops in the area!

You can find numerous tour suggestions from enjoyable cycling to challenging mountain biking not only in the online tour portal, but also in our special cycling maps such as the Chiemgau cycling map or the Chiemgau Alps Mountainbike Map. You can find it locally in the Achental Tourist Information Centers or via our online order service conveniently delivered to your home by post.
Charging station for eBikes
Battery empty? No problem!

Whether it’s your own or a borrowed eBike: even if the batteries of modern eBikes have high capacities and long ranges, they need to be charged at some point. There is also a network of charging stations in the Achental. In addition, restaurants and other tourist or public facilities will be happy to help you with a power socket in emergency.

You haven’t brought your bike with you, but spontaneously want to go on a bike tour? Or would you like to rent a bike or have it repaired? No problem! The Achental Bike Path

Mountain biking in between the lakes and the mountains

Discover the Achental on two wheels! The Achental Bike Path leads through a nature reserve and wonderful landscape and opens up the entire Achental – from Lake Chiemsee to the Tyrolian border. Thanks to the slight gradient the Achental Bike Path is a great experience for the whole family. You can also take abbreviations in many sections of the path and stop off in many restaurants with nice gardens to sit outside and enjoy a well-deserved break.

Mountainbike Trail Rock’N’Rolla

The starting point of the “Rock’N’Rolla” mountainbike trail, which was newly built in 2024, is next to the mountain station of the Hochplattenbahn cable car in Marquartstein. Everything about the course of the trail as well as the corresponding rules of conduct can be found on information boards on site.

Attention: The Hochplattenbahn does not transport bicyles!
