Camping in the Achental

Camping holidays on a campsite, in a caravan, camper van or tent – mobile accommodation is becoming increasingly popular. You can enjoy the wonderful nature of the Chiemgau up close, especially on a camping holiday. You can choose between fantastic views of Lake Zellersee or the mountains of the Chiemgau Alps and are very close to Lake Chiemsee. At the same time, you are surrounded by many wonderful excursion destinations and can explore the diverse landscape of the Achental extensively while hiking and cycling.

Our Campsites

The Achental is an ideal holiday destination for families. In summer and winter, young and old can expect numerous experiences and adventures in the Chiemgau Alps. From scenic winter hikes and fast toboggan runs to a variety of swimming pools and ski lifts, there is plenty to explore. And you can do all this from the campsite! Here you will find campsites, but also pitches on the farm – there is something for everyone.

Litzelau – Campsite in the midst of the Chiemgau Alps

The Litzelau campsite welcomes guests all year round, surrounded by forests, lakes and peaks. In addition to pitches for caravans, tents and motor homes, the site also offers its own motor home and caravan park as well as holiday homes. The site is well equipped with a guest house, sanitary facilities, cooking areas, a lounge, sauna area, children’s playground and much more.

Lake Zellersee – Camping of a special kind

The Lake Zellersee campsite is idyllically located on Lake Zellersee in the Schleching district of Mettenham. For caravans and mobile homes, there are terraced pitches as well as pitches on the flat. If you want to camp, you can use the pitches on the slope above the lake. The lake, the surrounding Geigelstein nature reserve and the entire Achental valley offer numerous activities for young and old.

Camping on the farm and in the countryside

Camp in the most beautiful places in the Achental with great views of the surrounding mountains of the Chiemgau Alps and plenty of peace and quiet to relax. Motorhome parking spaces in Schleching – available soon!

Eight parking spaces are currently being built in the mountaineering village of Schleching, right next to the sports field and close to the town center.

We will inform you here as soon as the parking space in Schleching is available!

Camping at Lake Chiemsee

As an alternative to the mountains

You can’t get any closer to Lake Chiemsee. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the Chiemgau Alps, you can find a place for your tent or camper right by the lake. Then a trip to the Achental is sure to be a great change and you can enjoy the peace and quiet and a unique landscape here.

Disposal station

for motorhomes and campers

In Grassau, campers have the opportunity to dispose of grey water (free of charge) and fecal cassettes for a fee (€1.00) around the clock.

The fresh water tanks can also be filled here for a fee (10 cents per 10 liters).

The Sani Station is located in front of the sewage treatment plant at Erlach 8 in 83224 Grassau.
